I'm Alice, the founder of Sort My Digital Life. It began when I became Power of Attorney for my parents and set about getting their affairs in order for when the time comes. Their digital life had grown up over years without a plan: accounts, photos, passwords and subscriptions everywhere, and nothing written down. Bringing it all into one clear, tidy place was a relief for all of us.
I built this service so you can do the same, in far less time than it took us. You answer plain-English questions at your own pace, and I turn your answers into clear documents your family can follow. Nothing we do ever asks you to share a password with anyone.

No. We don't collect passwords, PINs or logins. Just what exists and what you've decided. For your own day-to-day passwords, the Personalised Password Manager Guide add-on walks you through setting up 1Password; those go into your own manager, never to us.
You don't need to be. Every step is plain English, one thing at a time, and you can't break anything. Short questions by email are always welcome, and one-to-one help can be booked for a single step or the whole thing: online, by phone, or in person around Exeter, where we're based.
You don't have to. Our checklist lists over 180 UK services grouped by type; you tick the ones you use and add anything we've missed.
Most people do: it shows exactly where you stand, and your report recommends the package that fits. If you already know what you want, go straight to a package.
The Digital Life Audit takes about thirty minutes; a package an hour or so, with progress saved if life interrupts. Best on a laptop or desktop; a phone screen is too small.
No: it works alongside a Will, on the digital side only, and it helps while you're living too, if illness ever takes you out of action. Your Will stays a matter for you and your solicitor.
A planner is a blank book. We guide you question by question, prepare the finished documents for you, and keep them current: contact routes verified on each company's own website, and an annual review that refreshes your whole pack.
Absolutely: many packages are arranged by a son or daughter for a parent. Vouchers come in three amounts, and a family member alongside during the walkthrough makes everything easier.
They're used to prepare your documents and kept securely for two years, so your annual review is an update rather than a redo; after that they're deleted. We never sell or share them, and we never contact anyone you name. Your own answers file is saved to your computer when you finish. See our Privacy Notice.
Contact routes in the Subscription & Utility Cancellation Plan are re-verified four times a year, and your documents show the date last verified. An annual review (£45 with Essentials, £65 with Comprehensive) refreshes your whole pack. How the annual review works
The company contact routes are the same wherever you live, so the digital side is just as useful. Legal references such as executors and probate follow England and Wales practice; your solicitor covers the legal side.
